The wedding of Andriolli

On 25 November 2012 at noon 17:00 in the Church of the Virgin Mary a spectacular costume re-enactment was held of the wedding of Michał Elwiro Andriolli with Natalia Helena Tarnowska. This event took place in this church exactly 137 years before. – The re-enactment was undoubtedly improvised, because nobody knows exactly how the nuptials looked like. One thing is certain – it was not a Roman wedding, so we returned to the old chronicles, which told us what the formula of the wedding was, said Leszek Celej, director of the Museum of the Mińsk Region.

The actors were students of two schools in Sulejówek – the Complex of High Schools and the Complex of Schools No. 1 and the organizer was the Museum of the Mińsk Region, the M. E. Andriolli Foundation and a travel agency of Mińsk Mazowiecki.
