Michał Elwiro Andriolli was not only a recognised artist, but also a valued participant in artistic events. He himself organised events attended by the Warsaw elite, including Władysław Reymont or even Józef Piłsudski himself.
In 1872 he was admitted as a full member to the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts, founded in 1860.It was the first institution in the Russian Partition to exhibit and collect works by Polish artists. Andriolli also took an active part in important events, where he was not only the life and soul of the party, but also recorded the most important moments and participants in the form of drawings. He had a phenomenal memory for details, which he remembered with photographic accuracy for a long time and recorded them.
Among the major events reported in the press in 1879, Andriolli toasted and spoke at a major ceremony dedicated to the painter Józef Brandt (1841-1915). Brandt, who settled in Munich, was considered one of the best painters of battle scenes with Polish motifs.
In 1879 in the Victoria Hotel in Cracow he also participated in a ceremony dedicated to Józef Ignacy Kraszewski (1812-1887), the distinguished historical writer. On this occasion, he portrayed several dozen of over a hundred participants, including the famous Polish actress Helena Modrzejewska and his wife Natalia.
When Polish immigrant to Chile Ignacy Domeyko (1802-1889) where he conducted geological research and developed Universidad de Chile, visited Warsaw in 1884, Andriolli had a conversation with Domeyko’s son in Spanish, which was emphasised by the press.
He was not only involved in artistic circles, but also as a landowner in 1884 registered to the nascent Warsaw Horticultural Society, which he supported. He was a juror in contests, submitted his works to exhibitions and even organised banquets himself.
