As a child Elwiro was a frequent guest in Kościuszyszki, owned by the family of his teacher Antoni Zaleski (1824-1885), who, as well as Antoni’s brother Ignacy, became Elwiro friends. Following Zaleski’s example, he went to Rome to study and, later took part in the January Uprising, just as his friend Antoni. As a child he also befriended Jerzy Laskarys (1828-1888), a few years older than him son of Teodor, an Italian officer in the Napoleonic army. Laskarys later became a poet, and Andriolli illustrated his works, which Laskarys appreciated by writing very favourable reviews. Despite the fact that they concerned the first works of Andriolli, the reviews were justified.
At school he was friends with Michał Berkman (1823-1913), who later became a teacher of mathematics and also took part in the January Uprising.
During his studies in Rome he also got to know Leandro Marconi (1834-1919) and became friends with Władysław Mickiewicz (1838-1926), son of the poet Adam. These contacts, nurtured and developed, were fruitful in the future.
